Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000, depending on experience, with eligibility for election year bonuses based on firm performance.

​About the Position
​
WKQ Media seeks experienced Media Buyers to join our growing team in building and managing effective paid media strategies for our progressive political clients. Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience and a deep understanding of digital video-first advertising. For a Senior Media Buyer position, the candidate should have 5+ years of experience or 3 cycles of work.
As a Media buyer, you'll play a pivotal role, collaborating closely with firm principals and client agencies to plan, optimize, and oversee campaigns from start to finish. You will use the latest advertising trends to build and optimize paid media campaigns, aiming to blend innovative tactics with established methods to secure electoral and advocacy victories for our clients.
Duties Include

The new Media Buyer will divide their time among several functions. A general breakdown of the position’s primary responsibilities includes:

Build out and launch paid media campaigns, ensuring they align with our clients' strategic objectives with well defined key performance indicators (KPIs).

Track and optimize paid media campaigns across various channels including CTV, OLV, display, DOOH, paid social, and traditional platforms - including bid management, budget allocation, performance monitoring, and creative testing.

Maintain close contact with agency principals ensuring they have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with our clients.
​Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in our tech stack, including Basis, Campaign Manager 360, Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, and similar platforms.

Experience in online ad technologies on the buy-side, covering creative formats, ad serving, and viewability/verification.

Deep knowledge and commitment to supply path optimization in digital buying - especially CTV.

Skill in gathering and analyzing ad performance data and educating others in this process. You'll guide the team in optimizing ad campaigns and providing clear, user-friendly recommendations to clients.

Previous involvement in political, advocacy, or union campaigns is advantageous, with an understanding of their strategies, tactics, goals, and timelines.
